The number of industrial projects is increasing

Height Specialists mainly focused on organizing various events at height, but this has changed since 2000. As of this year rope access made a real introduction in the Netherlands. Height Specialists got more projects in the civil sector, in particular the assembly of advertising and promotional banners.

Origin of rope access

Rope access has existed for many years, for example for mountaineers or speleology (a branch of earth sciences that focuses on the study of caves). But rope access as we know today was introduced around 1980. Techniques of mountaineers and speleology were adopted to access places that looked inaccessible by conventional methods. Think for example of aerial work platforms and scaffolding.
