Work activities

Shell, in context of its large-scale maintenance programme, required an inspection of the condition of all the pipelines and their support on its loading/unloading jetty, the T-jetty.

Doordat we niet de gehele T-steiger in de steigers hoeven te zetten voor deze inspectie, besparen we veel geld en tijd

Why Rope Access?

Building a scaffold around it would be time-consuming and complicated due to the space available. Also, a scaffold would create a substantial additional wind load for the T-jetty. Provisions to reduce this would make the scaffolding costly. There was also a need to know the results of the inspections very quickly.

Our rope access technicians were additionally trained by Bilfinger NDT services to carry out thorough visual inspections and provided additional services for reporting these inspections in accordance with the requirements of the Shell system.
